APPLICATION OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY EVALUATION METHODS FOR COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS IN AGRIBUSINESS

Agribusiness and commerce are two major sectors that consume electricity. can generate energy but not enough to meet its needs. Thus, efficiency is fundamental for the sector’s sustainability. This study aimed apply PROCEL evaluation methods in a Brazilian agribusiness company, specifically meat retail sector, located Alta Paulista region. research has quantitative approach, PROCEL’s RTQ-C manual, bibliographical on issue, functioning of company’s environment were used. The commercial establishment received B classification index, which be considered good several points improvement, mainly air conditioning, provides better company. Therefore, company obtain economic environmental returns by improving such areas, present serves as basis evaluating other companies same sector.
